New Imaging Gateway Site by PICA |

A major free gateway imaging website has been launched by the Photo Imaging Council of Australia (PICA). The site acts as a conduit to anything to do with imaging in Australia. The ad-free sight covers everything from camera club listings, photo courses information, job situations wanted and vacant right through to advice on photography with jazz master and renown photo enthusiast Don Burrows. Other areas of the site give details on which products are handled by which distributor, information on the annual Photo Imaging Shows and the work of professional photographers. Editorial clips for newspaper photo features and dealer promotion are also provided. A series of bulletin boards (BBS) allows anyone to add their comments on anything of interest to fellow workers and enthusiasts. There are two free chat rooms: one for amateur photographers and one for enthusiasts. A shopping channel lists established Australian resellers prepared to sell on the net. The PICA website is the
imaging industry's most visited websites and acts as a link
