PRESS RELEASE
Pocket tripod helps photographers take sharp photos
Sydney Australia, February 17, 2006

Ever since still cameras were invented, it has always required stabilising of the camera to capture sharp pictures especially during low light. During long exposures, hand holding of the camera may result in camera blur, rendering the picture un-sharp. The dimmer the scene, the longer the camera shutter is required to be ‘opened’ in order to capture the image.

Tripods are often used by the photographer to achieve this, and to minimise movement. Tripods however have some limitations. They are usually bulky and awkward to carry and also take some time to set up, allowing perfect photographic moments to escape. Tripods usually require a flat surface to operate and may be impractical in certain situations when shooting within a limited or confined space and angle such as a car.

Luckorp Pty Ltd is proud to announce the release of an innovative camera support device called Cam-Pod. Cam-Pod is a leap over the conventional camera bean bag. It has bi-folding cushions, enabling the user to mould to the shape of your camera and lens according to desired angle. In addition, this folding ability reduces the size and weight, allowing for a lighter and compact support bag.

Measuring just 380 by 180mm (14 by 7 inches) and weighing 500grams (17.6 ounces), Cam-Pod is light & compact enough to accompany any photographer’s camera bag. Cam-Pod can be leaned against a lamp post, or self standing on furniture, fence or tree. Photographers can easily include their own portraits by setting the camera to self timer.

Cam-Pod is hand made in Australia and comes in two sizes – regular or mini. Use the regular Cam-Pod for SLR or digital SLR cameras and video cameras. Cam-Pod mini is designed to stabilise compact cameras and point & shoot cameras – it’s so small, you can take it anywhere. It’s literally like having a ‘Tripod in your Pocket’.

Place Cam-Pod inside a camera bag and use the unique cushioning support to wrap around and protect the camera bodies and lenses.

Cam-Pod can be ordered directly from http://www.cam-pod.com
