NEW DYNAMIC IMAGE MANAGEMENT TOOL SIMPLIFIES AD DESIGN AND INSPIRES COLLABORATION

Maxoom is a suite of rich media online tools that creates multiple image variations from one master image in an instant and makes web content delivery easy

SYDNEY - Online solution provider, Webqem has launched Maxoom, a high performance software platform that delivers a suite of rich media solutions that cater to photographers, advertisers, retailers, franchisors and developers.

Maxoom can:

  •   Instantly create multiple image sizes from the single master image
  •   Update images across a website instantly
  •   Create interactive online catalogues directly from print materials
  •   Enhance the online experience with 3D spin and detail zoom
  •   Store and distribute assets via a hosted solution, creating a new revenue stream

“Maxoom is ideal for any business that needs to process, manage, create variation, and handle large numbers of images/digital assets online,” said Larry Adler, director of operations at Webqem. “The benefits are many - including significant cost saving in production, management and time to market as well as increased sales and online conversion.”

At the core of Maxoom is its innovative Dynamic Imaging. Maxoom Dynamic Imaging intuitively generates multiple image sizes, edit and adjust quality from the one digital master image, instantly.

Advertising agencies and multisite businesses can especially benefit from Maxoom’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) functionality that allows controlled third party access to search, browse and download imagery.

Photographer Bruce Allan is an early adopter of Maxoom and has incorporated the technology into his Business.

“Maxoom makes my life easy. If it’s as simple as proofing images from a shoot using Pages, I can create a page, have clients login and comment on an image to come up with a shortlist. Working with ad agencies and direct clients, you never know what software they have or the maximum file size you can email. Maxoom takes this hassle out of the equation.”

“Once the shortlist is chosen, I use Maxoom’s Showcase feature to deliver an easy way to compare the final images. Showcase allows me to upload a larger file that clients can zoom into and see more detail. I also use Showcase to allow my clients to approve the final retouched image.”

Allan has also been able to incorporate more 3D imagery into his web-based designs using Maxoom 3D spin and Zoom. Retail companies use this functionality on their websites to allow their customers to see the fine detail of product at any angle at any point in a 360 degree spin.

“3D is fast becoming the way for consumers to view products online and for me Maxoom makes this easy. All I do is shoot any object in 360 degrees, upload my files and in under five minutes I have a fully functional 360 degree interactive object. Previously, I would have had to brief a web designer and wait for the work to be done. Now it’s easy.”

Webqem offers Maxoom as a software as a service model (SaaS) which means there is no capital investment in software just a monthly fee based on usage of bandwidth and content, and how the customer wishes to manage the system.

Said Adler, “Maxoom is also ideal to host as your own solution by branding the interface and setting your own retail pricing.”

Concluded Bruce Allan, “In reality, I only use a small percentage of what’s possible using Maxoom and still achieve so much. Maxoom comes with free tutorials that are so helpful and make me want to learn more so I can utilise even more of its incredible potential.”

Some of the early adopters of Maxoom also include Panasonic, Hyundai, oneworld and YHA.
