• Gain creative insights and how to put the “Wow” factor into your images;
• Print perfect colour or black & white images every time, whether through your own printer or at your pro lab;
• Work with our sponsors and try out their latest equipment and win lots of prizes;
• Polish your workflow for maximum efficiency while achieving brilliant colour and the highest impact in images for your clients, your gallery, or for award competitions;

Then come to Orpheus Island from 8th to 13th August 2010 to experience all this and more!

Les Walkling is one of the greatest educators the professional photographic industry has known. You will gain exceptional knowledge in Photoshop and Lightroom, colour management, fine art printing, and be inspired to create masterpieces for yourself and your clients. Les has a vast background in professional and university education and fine art photography with his work featured in major public galleries such as the National Gallery of Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, USA. http://www.leswalkling.com/

This is the sixth year Les has presented this workshop, which is a full five-day all-inclusive unique experience designed for professional photographers. The James Cook University Orpheus Research Station is a first class teaching facility, and the tropical islands provide for amazing photographic opportunities. Les rates this workshop as the best workshop he delivers in Australia.

You will be on a tropical island fringed by coral reefs, giant clams and tropical fish, where you can photograph, snorkel, bushwalk, and beach-comb. There is also a stunning half-day boat trip to nearby Yank’s Jetty and Fantome Island.  Enjoy the marvelous menus created especially for us by our own internationally renowned chefs, and dine in the evening under the stars by the beach.

The workshop comprises lectures, demonstrations and presentations each morning, backed up with hands on work after lunch and into the evening. This year Les is supported by five very experienced tutors to ensure that the knowledge you are acquiring is immediately translated into real-world imaging skills and new ways of seeing. Our sponsors also attend the workshop and supply the ‘state-of-the-art’ equipment, knowledge and materials for your creative photography needs.

The Orpheus Island Research station http://www.jcu.edu.au/field/oirs/  is limited to only 40 guests, and the event is very popular and will book out again this year.

Presented by our generous sponsors: Epson, Canson, Eizo Monitors, Nikon (Aust), Kayell, Apple and C.R. Kennedy.
